Welcome to this week’s blog - as always, thanks for having a read. Please be careful in the heat - I helped Year 8 PE at school today, Friday, watching a rounders match as it soared to 30C, so if you go outside keep to the shade and drink plenty of water.  Last Saturday, June 14th, Donna and I were honoured to be invited to the wedding of Mick and Val’s youngest son Steve to the newest Mrs Weller, Lisa. Once again we wish them the best.  On Monday Donna had West Sussex County Council’s Governance Committee. On Wednesday she and Val had Chichester District Council’s Development, Planning and Infrastructure Panel before we all had Full Selsey Town Council in the evening. It was a long agenda which included reviewing key documents and an evaluation of the very successful VE80 event. Next week Donna and I have Chichester District Council’s Budget Review Group on Monday then its Regeneration and Growth board on Tuesday. Donna has West Sussex County Council’s Health and Socia...

Welcome to this week's blog - thanks for having a read. This week Donna and Val had Chichester District Council’s Planning Committee on Wednesday. That evening, Val was joined by Mick, Ian, Andrew and Gareth for Selsey Town Council’s Planning Committee while Donna and I went to Full Sidlesham Parish Council. On Thursday evening, we both went to a stakeholder consultation about the proposed Selsey Sea Defences then to the premiere of a film made by students at The Academy, Selsey about the Selsey Pavilion . As a film had not been screened in the Pavilion for around 50 years this was a historic occasion. Next week Donna and Val have Chichester District Council’s Development, Planning and Infrastructure Panel on Wednesday before we all have Full Selsey Town Council in the evening. You can watch council meetings live: CDC and WSCC Sussex Day is on Monday, June 16th. West Sussex County Council’s information about it includes : Details of a free online webinar taking place on the da...

Ironically my GCSE students were early on while my A Level Computing ones are near the end. Once the public exams are over, whilst  halls are still set out with the individual desks, many schools have mocks for Years 10 and 12, so our thoughts are with them too as they prepare to sit them in a week or so. Steve had Chichester District Council’s Standards Committee on Wednesday and Val General Licensing on Thursday. Today, Friday, Donna’s West Sussex County Council’s Appeals Panel has been moved to Friday of this coming week. Next week Donna and Val have Chichester District Council’s Planning Committee  on Wednesday. That evening, Val will be joined by Mick, Ian, Andrew and Gareth for Selsey Town Council’s Planning Committee.  You can watch council meetings live: CDC and WSCC . A few years ago we mentioned Chichester had b...
