  Welcome to this week’s blog - as always, thanks for having a read.  Before we begin, you will be aware of the container spillage off Bembridge which has affected our beaches from Selsey to Bognor. The ship responsible is insured and a contractor, Ambipar (appointed by West Sussex County Council, who are leading the emergency, with Arun and Chichester District Councils) has been on site since Monday. After waste is collected, it is being taken to a designated site where it will be managed and disposed of safely and in accordance with local regulations. If you want to help, take care as there is sharp metal on the beaches from the containers. Leave any waste for collection. Be mindful of machinery operating in the area, the tides, daylight hours, and weather conditions and: -. Welcome to this week’s blog - as always, thanks for having a read. Last weekend the lights went on in several places locally, including Selsey (in both the High Street and East Beach Parade, on Saturday, November 29th.) Mick, Val, Donna, Ali and I helped the Friends of East Beach with their event. We wish to thank all of you who came along.  Thanks also to Selsey Town Council for ensuring that these highly valued family events took place Chichester District Council’s Festive markets return to North Street and East Street in Chichester city centre on the 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th December, with the Saturday markets running from 9am until 5pm, and the Sunday markets running from 10am until 4pm. The National Trust are well known for the Festive experiences they stage in their properties.
